Cinderella’s Sister& Personal Taste

Personal Taste w/ Lee MinHo& Son YeJin

This week, KBS, SBS, and MBC all premiered new dramas for their Wed-Thu timeslots.
Cinderella’s Sister (KBS) is a different take on the fairytale story we’ve all known too well starring Moon Geun Young (evil stepsister?), Seo Woo (cinderella), Chun Jung Myung (the prince), and Taecyeon (the beast , fine, the knight of our evil stepsister).
MBC, on the other hand, aired Personal Taste starring Lee MinHo (pretending to be gay), Son YeJin (….girl rooming w/ a gay guy?) , and 2AM’s Seulong who’s making his acting debut.
SBS’s Prosecutor Princess doesn’t interest me much but hey, Kim So Yeon gets an honorable mention here just because… Honestly I’ve changed my mind. Procecutor Princess is surprisingly ENTERTAINING to watch!

Cinderella's Sister

After watching their respective debut episodes, I must say that I’m making a tough choice that is also easiest to make—stick with both of them!
Cinderella’s Sister is quite interesting in that the director and writer are doing a great job. The actors are doing quite well, too. To be honest, I’ve never understood the hype about Moon Geun Young but her acting is praiseworthy. On a different note, girl is a stick and she needs to start eating more! Chun Jung Myung, ah…I’ve missed him! Saw him in Fashion 70′s, he looked so young and fearless back then. Now I feel that he’s all grown up and has this really nice “manly” aura about him; his smile is the CHARM. Seo Woo, not really sure how to feel about her. She’s got confidence in her acting (read: bold), but she’s exaggerating too much! And her face, arrghhhhh….plastic not so fantastic!

Personal Taste feels quite different from ‘Cinderella.’ I had trouble immersing myself in ‘Personal’ right after watching ‘Cinder…’ Its first episode wasn’t as intense and exciting as ‘Cinder..’ hopefully it’ll pick up its pace. I’ve had great laughs from a few of its scenes towards the end (scene in the elevator…how can anyone not LAUGH at that?)
